To us, quality and environmental issues – in addition to sustainability – are a part of customer satisfaction. Fulfilling 100% of customer needs is key to our strategic objectives.

Environment

Environmental responsibility extends throughout our operations. We’ve invested in reducing the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from our premises, identifying sustainable transport modes and efficiently managing materials, chemicals and waste.

The district heating used in our factory is carbon neutral, of certified origin, and produced from renewable, emission-free energy sources, bioenergy and industrial waste heat. The electricity we use in our factory is also 100% CO2 free energy with a guarantee of origin.

We use carbon-neutral shipments for our imports to reduce our transport carbon footprint. For domestic shipments, we use Kaukokiito’s BIO service. We expect our suppliers to pay particular attention to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions from their operations, and contribute to minimizing their carbon dioxide emissions from transport by consolidating their shipments into weekly deliveries.

To make sure our supply chain is environmentally responsible, we published a Sustainable Procurement Principles handbook for our suppliers. We require our suppliers to comply with REACH and RoHS legislation, as well as actively assisting with Conflict Minerals compliance.
